Welcome to my virtual home in the cyberspace!

My complete name is Dedi Rosadi. I was born in Belitung Island in a small town called Gantong, Indonesia. This town is now quite popular in Indonesia,  after a movie called as  Laskar Pelangi. I live in Gantong but finished my high school in the neighboring city called as Manggar.

In 1991, i continue my study in Statistics study program, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta in the subject Statistics. After graduated from this program in the beginning of 1996, i have been working in the same Department, and in 1997, i continue my study in the University of Twente , The Netherlands in the subject Statistics and Operation Research. For my theses, i model and optimize what so called the sharing policy in the telecommunication system, under the supervision of Dr. Erik van Doorn from University of Twente and Dr. Bart Klein Obbink from the KPN Research. This research received financial support from KPN Research and VNO-NCW, the Netherlands. After finished my master degree, i returned  into Yogyakarta in about two years, before continued my PhD study in Vienna University of Technology (Technische Universitaet), Austria in October 2001. For my PhD thesis, i analyze a dependence measure for heavy tailed processes which is called the codifference function, working under the supervision of Prof. Manfred Deistler. I finished my PhD in the beginning of October, 2004, and continue to work in Yogyakarta until now.
